About the JulyFest Team

Events from Myrtle Mountain Society (EMM) was formed in late 2024 after the Kimberley Chamber of Commerce announced it was stepping away from JulyFest. Our goal was not only to preserve JulyFest, but also to restore its original spirit - a festival deeply rooted in Kimberley, celebrating our community and its residents.

As a registered non-profit, we count on the generosity of the good folks of Kimberley to help keep JulyFest alive. EMM is run entirely by our Volunteer Board of Directors and there are no paid positions.  Proceeds from JulyFest will be funneled back into the community.

Despite some truly crazy weather, JulyFest 2025 was a huge success and we are very excited for 2026! For 2026 we are happy to announce not only the return of soccer, but a Friday afternoon homecoming event which is partially sponsored by Teck/Cominco. This event will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the closing of the mine that contributed significantly to Kimberley's development. This event honours the history of the mine and the people who have worked there.
